Kenosha County Board Approves Multiple Resolutions Including Floodplain Map Update

Kenosha County officials made significant strides in community planning and infrastructure during the County Board meeting held on July 15, 2025. Among the key decisions was the unanimous approval of Ordinance 31, which updates the floodplain zoning regulations following a revision of the flood map for the South Branch of the Pike River by FEMA. This ordinance is set to take effect on July 25, 2025, ensuring that local zoning laws align with federal standards and enhancing community safety against flooding.

In addition to zoning updates, the board also passed several resolutions aimed at improving local infrastructure.
