At its regular meeting Beach Park CCSD 3 recognized teachers and staff across schools for classroom work and school leadership, and the superintendent announced upcoming events: an evening superintendent coffee Jan. 20, a joint State of Education meeting Jan. 22 at Beach Park Middle School, and a foundation kickoff fundraiser Jan. 29.
A parent at the Beach Park CCSD 3 meeting said an internal email accidentally exposed more than 700 students' names, ID numbers and parent email addresses; the district sent a follow-up saying the information was not compromised and that unopened messages were recalled. The board moved to closed session to address the matter.
