District staff reported asbestos remediation at Chase City Elementary is complete and demolition is progressing. Project staff said updated photos and budget information will be provided to the board beginning in December and a briefing is expected in January.

Superintendent Dr. Warner told the board the district is notifying people affected by a September cybersecurity breach and offering free credit monitoring. He also said the countys true property value rose nearly $2.8 billion, raising the composite index and likely increasing the local share of school funding costs.
The board honored Molly Beal as the November senior of the month and viewed a student-produced video from Mecklenburg County Middle School that highlighted athletics, FFA and the school’s positive behavior referral system (103 positive referrals to date).
