During the November 14, 2024, Called Board Meeting, the board unanimously passed the motion, which aims to ensure that all students, regardless of ability, have access to safe and engaging play areas.

The project will see the installation of eight playgrounds during the school year without disrupting existing facilities, while four additional playgrounds will be completed over the summer to avoid any interruptions. This initiative is part of a broader commitment to inclusivity and accessibility within the district, as highlighted by Trustee Stevens, who confirmed that the new playgrounds will also be included at the upcoming Elementary 17 campus.

In addition to the playground discussion, the board reviewed the 2023-2024 annual financial audit report, which showcased the district's strong financial management amid challenging circumstances. External auditor Jackie Gonzales presented the findings, revealing that Crowley ISD received an unmodified opinion—essentially an \"A+\" grade—indicating no material weaknesses or compliance issues in their financial reporting. This positive outcome reflects the district's commitment to fiscal responsibility, especially after making significant budget cuts of $15 million to maintain operations.
