The Zionsville Town Council held a meeting to recognize the achievements of the Zionsville Girls Golf Team and player Taylor Snively for their recent state championship win. The council discussed Resolution 2024-16, which honors the team for their outstanding performance at the Indiana State Athletic Association's 52nd Annual State Championship.

On October 5, 2024, the Zionsville Community High School Girls Varsity Golf Team secured their second state championship title, finishing five strokes ahead of the runner-up, Noblesville. This victory marks the team's first championship since 2018. The team members include Caitlin Adler, Paige Henney, Avery Lewis, Taylor Snively, and Amaya Wade.

In addition to the team’s success, Taylor Snively made history by becoming only the third freshman to win an individual title in the 52-year history of the IHSAA finals. She is the first individual champion from the Zionsville team since 1999. The team is coached by Maggie Ngo, a former player who also led the team to its first state championship in 2018.

The council emphasized the collaborative effort that contributed to the team's success, highlighting the dedication of players, coaches, parents, and the community. The resolution serves to celebrate the hard work and commitment of the Zionsville Girls Golf Team and their achievements in both academics and athletics. The council plans to provide a formal resolution document with signatures from all members to commemorate this significant accomplishment.
