During a recent government meeting, three outstanding students from Revere High School were recognized for their academic achievements and community involvement. Erita Ismaili, the valedictorian of the class of 2025, has demonstrated exceptional academic rigor by enrolling in 10 Advanced Placement (AP) classes and participating in dual enrollment courses. Her commitment extends beyond academics; she has engaged in research on election analysis at Oberlin College and completed an internship at the University of Southern California. Erita's leadership roles include captain of the speech and debate team, president of the Model UN, and chair of the student senate, among others. She has also gained practical experience working in the Revere Election Department and MGH Revere Cares. Erita aspires to attend a competitive four-year university after graduation.
Dana Phan, the salutatorian of the same class, has also excelled academically, taking 9 AP and dual enrollment courses, alongside an independent study in organic chemistry. Dana leads the math team and the feminist empowerment movement, and serves as a research assistant at Northeastern's Learning in the Bridal Lab. Her community service efforts include 150 hours of volunteering at Tufts Medical Center. Dana has received accolades such as a bronze medal in the National Spanish Exam and the President's Volunteer Bronze Service Award. Like Erita, she plans to pursue higher education at a competitive university.
