In a vibrant celebration of talent and achievement, the North Kansas City Schools held a special recognition event to honor outstanding students, staff, and community members. The evening was marked by the acknowledgment of several students who have excelled in music, showcasing the district's commitment to fostering extraordinary educational experiences.

Among the highlights, five district students were celebrated for their remarkable musical accomplishments. Avery Johnson and Annabella Orlando Byrd, both fifth graders from Chapel Hill, along with Olivia Zieber, a fourth grader from Fox Hill, earned coveted spots in the All State Children's Choir. This prestigious ensemble comprises only 140 singers selected from over 1,000 auditioning students across Missouri, underscoring the exceptional talent within the district.

At the high school level, Drew Chamberlain from Oak Park was recognized for his selection to the SATB All State Choir, the highest honor available to junior and senior students. Additionally, Lincoln McGinnis, also from Oak Park, made history as North Kansas City's first representative in the state sight-reading bee.
