The team’s senior goalkeeper, Veil McNamee, was honored as the MVP of the state tournament, particularly noted for her outstanding performance during the penalty shootout in the final match.
The meeting also highlighted the recent announcement of the All Metro Girls Soccer Team for the 2024 season, as published by the Commercial Appeal. Ellet Smith was named Player of the Year, while David Wolf received Coach of the Year honors. The first team included standout players such as McClain Jones, Kate Wingfield, Hallie McBride, and Leila McNamee, with Zarena Markovic recognized on the second team.
Officials congratulated the athletes, many of whom are expected to continue their soccer careers at the collegiate level. The meeting concluded with a group photo session, capturing the pride and accomplishments of the team and their coaches, including David Wolf and assistants Kayla Thorpe and Jenna Kemp.
