The meeting also addressed significant budgetary matters, including a motion to approve a $33,750 budget amendment for the 51st District Court, which will facilitate the immediate use of funds from the 2025 Michigan Drug Court and Veterans Treatment Court programs. Board members expressed gratitude for the efforts of Angie Reed, who secured $154,000 in grants for veterans' programs.
Further financial discussions included the approval of a deferred compensation plan for Waterford Township and the allocation of $220,802.20 from ARPA funding for a water treatment plant project. Lastly, a resolution was adopted to support a road improvement project for Lodi Drive, Motorway Drive, and West Long Parkway, with the township committing to contribute up to 10% of the final project costs, contingent upon property owners' petitions and approval from the Road Commission of Oakland County.
