School district report cards reveal impressive academic progress

During a recent government meeting, Kim Edwards, the Executive Director of Instructional Services, presented the latest district and school report cards for Wisconsin, highlighting the district's continued academic progress. The report cards, part of the state's accountability system, revealed that the district achieved an overall score of 73.8, a slight increase from last year's 73.3, indicating that it continues to exceed expectations.

Edwards explained that the report cards are structured similarly for both the district and individual schools, featuring demographic information and accountability scores. The district's performance is evaluated across four priority areas: student achievement, growth, target group outcomes, and on-track graduation rates. Notably, the district's achievement score was 68.2, outperforming state averages in both English Language Arts (ELA) and math.
