Green explained that the micro CHP systems, which operate under 5 kilowatts, can convert approximately 93% of the fuel used into usable energy, significantly outperforming traditional power plants where only about 35% of the fuel reaches its destination. This technology, which has been in use for over a century, is particularly advantageous for residential applications, providing heating and electricity while being less susceptible to weather-related disruptions.

The compact design of the system, measuring 2.5 feet wide, 3.5 feet tall, and 4.5 feet long, allows for easy installation in various settings, including homes and small businesses. The engine is engineered for durability, with maintenance intervals recommended every 4,000 hours, equating to roughly every six months, which is notably less frequent than many comparable systems.

Green emphasized the environmental benefits of the micro CHP technology, stating that it can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 20 to 100 metric tons annually, depending on the energy source of the local grid. This positions the system as a cleaner alternative, particularly in areas reliant on coal-powered electricity.

The presentation concluded with a discussion on the system's applications, which range from residential homes to commercial facilities, underscoring its versatility and potential impact on energy consumption and sustainability.
