During a recent meeting of the Transylvania County Board of Education, significant farewells and recognitions marked the agenda as several board members concluded their terms. The meeting began with a display of artwork from TC Henderson Elementary School, setting a celebratory tone.

Tawny McCoy, who has served on the board since 2008, was honored for her remarkable 16 years of service, including 11 years as chair.
