The project has been in the works for approximately four to five years, undergoing several iterations to address various challenges, particularly regarding the maturity of the surrounding area.

Despite the project's comprehensive planning, the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended denial, primarily due to concerns over traffic on 10 Mile Road. The commission expressed apprehension that the traffic generated by the new development would occur before necessary road improvements could be implemented. In response, the developers had initially proposed constructing half of the street in front of a nearby school to facilitate the second phase of the apartment construction.

The meeting highlighted the ongoing complexities of urban development, particularly in balancing growth with infrastructure readiness. Further discussions are expected as stakeholders seek to address the commission's concerns and refine the project plans.
