Jermonica Overton, a community-focused entrepreneur and mother of two college graduates, shared her inspiring journey during a recent government meeting. Overton, who has a background in electrical technology and broadcasting, emphasized her commitment to giving back to the community through various initiatives.

In her candid address, Overton recounted her past, including a conviction in 1991 for reckless use of a weapon, which she overcame through determination and hard work. After completing her probation, she pursued her education and built a successful career in the electrical field for two decades before transitioning into radio and event coordination.

Overton's community engagement includes organizing back-to-school drives and collaborating with local barbershops and beauty salons to provide services for children. She has also volunteered with Asbury Sand, producing theatrical plays and comedy shows, and worked closely with Dr. Elder Ricky Price from Mount Zion Church as a photographer and videographer.

Currently, Overton runs her own multimedia company, YG Multimedia, where she continues to focus on community service and creative projects. Her story highlights resilience and the importance of community involvement, serving as an inspiration for others facing challenges.
