During a recent ceremony, the Deltona Fire Department celebrated the promotions of several dedicated firefighters and emergency service personnel. The event highlighted the achievements of both engineers and lieutenants, showcasing their commitment to public service and community safety.

Engineer Aubrey Feliciano, who joined the department in March 2020, was recognized for her promotion and pinned by her family. A first-generation firefighter, Feliciano holds an Associate's degree in emergency medical services and is known for her volunteer work with neonatal kitten rehabilitation.

Engineer Blake O'Hara, also a first-generation firefighter, was pinned by his family. O'Hara, who joined the department in April 2021, is currently pursuing paramedic training while balancing his studies with interests in music and fitness.

Engineer Charles \"CJ\" Johnson, a seasoned paramedic with 17 years of service, was honored alongside his family. Johnson, who joined the department in 2009, is a member of the special operations team and enjoys family time.

The ceremony also recognized Engineer Anthony Carisquillo, who was promoted with the group but could not attend the event.

The newly promoted lieutenants included Chance Belfort, Aaron Paler, and Jason Pratt. Belfort, a member of the special operations team, has been with the department since 2008 and is pursuing a degree in fire science. Paler, a third-generation firefighter and army veteran, teaches pump operations and has a variety of hobbies. Pratt, who joined in 2007, enjoys family activities and fishing.

The event concluded with the promotion of Division Chief Robert Donaldson and EMS Captain Heather Langston. Chief Donaldson, a paramedic since 2001, was pinned by his family, while Captain Langston, who joined the department in 2002, was honored by her close friends.

This ceremony not only celebrated individual achievements but also reinforced the strong community ties and dedication of the Deltona Fire Department to serving and protecting the public.
