In a recent government meeting, the Area Plan Commission unanimously recommended approval for a significant residential development project, Enclave on Klondike, which will feature 240 to 280 housing units, a clubhouse, and a pool. The project aims to enhance community infrastructure, including a safer pedestrian crossing for students traveling to a nearby school. Ryan Budden, representing the petitioner, emphasized the project's benefits and requested the commission's support.

The commission also discussed a rezone proposal from heavy industrial to multifamily residential for a separate site on County Road 250 West. Concerns were raised regarding the adequacy of existing infrastructure to support higher density housing, leading to a recommendation for lower density residential development in line with the township's plan. Chris Shelman, representing the petitioner for this rezone, argued that the change would provide additional housing options and align with the development of the adjacent Lindbergh Village.

Both proposals received positive votes from the commission, with the Enclave on Klondike project passing with a 3-0 vote, and the rezone also achieving a favorable outcome. The discussions highlighted the ongoing efforts to balance residential development with infrastructure capabilities in the area.
