The commendation highlighted Hamid's commitment to creating pedestrian-friendly spaces and improving commercial centers while preserving Moraga's unique character. She was instrumental in obtaining approvals for key land use projects, including a 66-unit multifamily residential development at 1600 School Street, which received planning commission approval on October 29, 2024.
