In a heartwarming event that celebrated student achievement, five students from Liberty School were honored for their fundraising efforts, which contributed nearly $2,800 to a community initiative. The Prescott Valley Police Department and the Kathama Fire Agency collaborated to surprise the students with a special outing.

The excitement began when School Resource Officer Busby, along with five firefighters from Engine 53, arrived at the school to pick up the students. The scene was lively, with lights and sirens blaring, drawing the attention of other students who waved from the playground.

Following the thrilling pickup, the group headed to Culver's, where the students enjoyed a well-deserved lunch and ice cream. The firefighters and Officer Busby joined in the fun, indulging in ice cream themselves, making the day even more memorable for the young achievers. This event not only recognized the students' hard work but also fostered a sense of community spirit and celebration.
