New businesses set to transform Huntington Oaks shopping center

In a recent government meeting, Community Development Director Bermejo delivered her inaugural report, highlighting significant developments in the city. A key announcement was the issuance of a demolition permit aimed at preparing for new construction at the Huntington Oaks Shopping Center. Residents can expect to see trailers in the parking lot as preconstruction activities commence.

Bermejo also shared that two new businesses have obtained permits to open in the same shopping center: 5 Below, a retail store offering items priced at five dollars or less, and Nothing Bundt Cakes, a bakery. Both establishments will be located opposite Crunch Fitness, providing a new dining option for gym-goers.

Additionally, Bermejo announced an upcoming community event focused on fire safety, scheduled for Thursday evening at the library. The event will run from 5 to 8 PM, and residents are encouraged to check the city’s website for more details.

Another community gathering, titled \"Thankful and Grateful,\" is set for November 20th from 5 PM to 8 PM, inviting residents to participate in a festive evening.
