Two new business applications received approval since the last meeting: Situ's restaurant, which will offer Lebanese cuisine in the Giant Eagle Plaza, and an Italian coffee shop set to occupy the former Charm Boutique location. These additions signal a positive turnover in local commercial spaces.

A joint presentation is scheduled for December 2, where further discussions will take place regarding the redrafting of the zoning code.
Additionally, the active transportation plan is nearing completion, with a final draft anticipated for review at the December meeting. The commission is actively seeking funding sources to implement parts of this plan, including a pending application for a sidewalk project on Bagley Road.
Traffic studies are also underway, with data collection from NOACA aimed at refining recommendations for future growth. A safety application for a proposed roundabout at Bainbridge Route and Bainbridge 83 is being prepared for submission in January.
In new business, the commission reviewed a proposal for a 4,000 square foot urgent care facility by University Hospitals, to be located at 34548 Center Ridge Road. This project, designed by HSB Architects, is permitted under the B3 Highway Commercial District zoning and will share the lot with a previously vacant commercial building.
