In a heartfelt ceremony honoring Veterans Day, community leaders gathered to pay tribute to the courage and sacrifices of veterans. The event began with a moving prayer led by a local rabbi, who called for blessings of wholeness, love, and peace for veterans and their families. Emphasizing the importance of gratitude, the rabbi urged attendees to remember the dedication and honor of those who have served, both in wartime and peacetime.
The prayer highlighted the need for community support, urging members to care for veterans and create a welcoming environment for their return home. The rabbi poignantly reminded the audience that while war is often necessary, it is never holy, and each service member is a beloved soul deserving of compassion and healing.
Following the prayer, attendees were invited to rise as the Don Sofer Aventor High School Fishing with America's Finest Veterans Club, alongside Troop 18 of the Boy Scouts of America, presented a memorial wreath dedicated to all veterans. The ceremony continued with performances by bugler Richard Garrick and singer Barry Roberts, further enriching the solemn occasion.
This gathering served not only as a tribute to those who have served but also as a call to action for the community to support and honor veterans throughout the year.
