The city of Aventura held its 2024 Veterans Day ceremony, honoring military personnel and veterans with a heartfelt gathering. Mayor Howard S. Weinberg welcomed attendees, including city officials, veterans, and community members, emphasizing the importance of recognizing those who have served the nation.

The ceremony featured the introduction of city officials, including Vice Mayor Dr. Linda Marks and newly elected commissioners Gustavo Blanchman and Cliff Ainge, who will be sworn in shortly. Former Mayor Enid Wiseman was also acknowledged for her contributions to the community.

The event highlighted the city's commitment to honoring its veterans, with a presentation of colors by the Aventura Police Honor Guard, which includes veterans among its ranks. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Aventura High School student Kate Littman, followed by a performance of the national anthem by Amtiz Dovari from the Aventura City of Excellence.

Rabbi Birkin delivered an invocation, calling for compassion and strength for the veterans, reinforcing the community's gratitude for their service. The ceremony served as a reminder of the sacrifices made by military personnel and the ongoing support from the Aventura community.
