Principal John Machek welcomed veterans, local officials, and families, reflecting on the significance of Veterans Day, which commemorates the sacrifices of those who served in all wars. Originally known as Armistice Day, the holiday was renamed in 1954 to honor veterans universally. Machek urged attendees to unite in respect for those who have served.
