During a recent government meeting, the Prosser FFA chapter received approval for out-of-state travel to the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana, scheduled for the last week of October. The trip will include Salma Mendoza, a standout student who qualified for the national competition after finishing second in the newly introduced Spanish creed contest at the state FFA convention.
Accompanying Mendoza will be three other students, including two chapter officers, along with two chaperones, Mr. Hayter and Ms. Graff, both of whom are agricultural teachers. The approval was met with enthusiasm from the board, highlighting the success of the FFA program and its students.
The motion to approve the travel was unanimously supported, with board members expressing pride in the achievements of the Prosser FFA students. The meeting concluded with well-wishes for the students as they prepare for their participation in the national event.
