In a recent government meeting, a local school district celebrated the remarkable achievements of its girls' golf team, which made history by qualifying for the state tournament. The team not only secured a second-place finish in the conference but also excelled in the regional and sectional competitions, ultimately finishing ninth at the state level.

This accomplishment marks a significant milestone as the team is the first from both the district and the South Prairie Conference to reach the state tournament. The team, consisting of two seniors—Grace Gilbert and Maggie Spencer—and several juniors and sophomores, demonstrated exceptional teamwork and perseverance.
