During a recent government meeting, officials announced a significant change regarding polling locations for the upcoming November 5th election in Horsham. The Horsham voting precinct 1-2 will be relocated from Blair Mill Elementary School to Keith Valley Middle School. This adjustment means that Keith Valley Middle School will host three voting precincts on election day.
The existing polling locations at Keith Valley will remain unchanged, with precinct 1-1 continuing in the Keith Valley lobby and precinct 1-5 operating in the large group instruction room, accessible via the Olive Avenue side entrance. Voters assigned to the new precinct 1-2 are instructed to enter through the main entrance of Keith Valley Middle School, where they will cast their ballots in the school library.
The meeting also included a segment for community input, allowing residents to voice their concerns or comments on agenda items. Attendees were reminded to register with the board secretary to participate, with each speaker allotted three minutes for their remarks. One resident, Katie Matthews, expressed her positive experiences within the district, highlighting her family's long-standing connection to the community.
This meeting underscores the importance of community engagement and the logistical preparations for the upcoming election, ensuring that residents are informed about changes that may affect their voting experience.
