The program allows students to engage in various projects, including entrepreneurship, internships, and community service, while also earning income.

According to the report, approximately 90% of students participating in SAE projects receive compensation, whether through owning their own businesses or working in placements. The program utilizes the Agricultural Experience Tracker (AET), which helps students log their work hours, earnings, and leadership activities through a mobile app. This innovative tool not only tracks their progress but also generates resumes, enhancing students' employability.

The meeting revealed that Missouri's agriculture education students collectively earned around $69 million last year, with Kearney students alone generating $90,000 in income. This data reflects the hard work of students in grades 10 through 12, who logged nearly 7,000 hours of work outside of class.

Three standout students were showcased during the meeting. Chase, who runs a lawn mowing business, demonstrated impressive financial acumen and hands-on skills. Dawson, a first-year student, successfully grew award-winning tomatoes, showcasing his passion and dedication to agriculture. Mallory, in her third year, has established a profitable egg-selling business, further exemplifying the program's impact on student entrepreneurship.
