The Roseville Area School Board convened on September 24th, 2023, to celebrate the achievements of its student-athletes, particularly the state champions in track and field. Head girls track and field coach Greg Uland introduced Jada Wilson, a sophomore who recently claimed the state championship in pole vaulting and was the runner-up in long jump. Uland praised her athletic prowess, noting her school records of 12 feet 3 inches in pole vault and 18 feet 5.5 inches in long jump. He highlighted her contributions to the team, which also secured the title of section true team champions, and commended her character, emphasizing her supportive nature and ability to balance athletics with academic commitments, including her involvement in the National Honor Society and Student Council.

Jada expressed gratitude towards her coaches and teammates, acknowledging their support throughout the season. The board members engaged with her, inquiring about her journey into track and field, which began in seventh grade due to her background in gymnastics.

The celebration continued with the introduction of Robert, a junior and standout runner, by boys cross country and track coach Bridal Bailey. Robert's accolades include winning multiple state titles and breaking several records, including the state record for cross country. Bailey emphasized Robert's leadership qualities and his commitment to his teammates, describing him as a mentor who fosters a strong team spirit.
