During a recent government meeting, significant resolutions were discussed regarding donations and grant awards aimed at enhancing educational resources within the Duluth Public Schools. The meeting highlighted contributions from various community members and organizations, including the Greater Denfeld Foundation and the family of David Buckite, which will benefit multiple schools such as Lormac, Piedmont, and Stowe.

A notable resolution involved the acceptance of a grant from the Ordine Foundation, amounting to approximately $10,000, designated for sensory equipment to support both special education and general education students at Piedmont Elementary. Additionally, a grant from Voya's Unsung Heroes program, also facilitated by Jason Goulet, is expected to provide between $2,000 and $25,000 for further sensory supports and equipment for students of all ages at the same school.
