On October 15th, Taco Bell will launch a unique food truck event on Howard Street, between Broadway and Mercer, in collaboration with Emerging Chefs. This initiative, branded as TBX, will feature three innovative takes on the classic Taco Bell Crunchwrap, crafted by the chefs involved. The event is expected to attract around 250 guests, with a limited number of servings available.
The food truck will operate from 4 PM to 10 PM, with setup beginning at 11 AM to allow kitchen staff ample preparation time. Attendees will be guided through a structured line with brand ambassadors managing the flow to ensure a smooth experience. Safety measures include barricaded areas to prevent crowding on sidewalks, along with high-top tables for those wishing to linger.
The choice of location, while not near a traditional Taco Bell outlet, is strategic due to its high foot traffic, making it accessible for city dwellers and potential content creators. The event will also be promoted through Taco Bell's social media channels, highlighting the three-day activation that will continue in Williamsburg on October 16th and Washington Square Park on October 17th. Each location will maintain the same setup, emphasizing the theme of three chefs over three days.
Sanitation plans include garbage receptacles both inside and outside the food truck to manage waste effectively. The initiative aims to engage the community while showcasing culinary creativity in a fast-food format.
