During a recent government meeting, two students from the local school district were recognized for their outstanding academic achievements as semifinalists in a prestigious scholarship program. Out of approximately 16,000 participants, these students represent a mere 1.2% of the total, highlighting their exceptional performance.

Both semifinalists achieved perfect scores on the PSAT, a significant accomplishment that opens the door to approximately 67,100 scholarship opportunities. The recognition ceremony featured Ben Schuler, one of the semifinalists, who was commended for his academic excellence and involvement in extracurricular activities, including cross country, band, and robotics. Schuler, a senior who recently turned 18, is currently ranked third in his class.
