In a recent meeting of the Board of Education, members unanimously approved the creation of a memorial garden at John Patterson School in honor of Lillian Klinger. The initiative, which emerged from discussions at the Patterson Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) meeting, aims to engage high school students, particularly those in the Key Club, in volunteering efforts for the project.

Board members expressed strong support for the memorial garden, highlighting its potential to positively impact the community and honor Klinger’s legacy. The motion to approve the garden was met with a swift roll call vote, with all members in favor.

The planning and execution of the garden will be overseen by Mr. Giacomo and the PTO, ensuring that the project aligns with community values and needs.
