In a recent government meeting, the police department highlighted a significant investigation led by one of its newest officers, Mike Schoenbrod. Despite being new to the force, Schoenbrod demonstrated exceptional dedication and skill, working closely with Detective Vinci to pursue a suspect in Flagler County.

The investigation culminated in the procurement of both an arrest warrant and a search warrant for a residence in the L section of Palm Coast. On the night of the operation, the Flagler County SWAT team, alongside local officers, executed the warrants. Tragically, the suspect took his own life during the encounter.

The police chief emphasized the remarkable effort put forth by the department, noting that the investigation progressed from a grainy black-and-white video to identifying the suspect in just 11 days, despite the challenges posed by a recent hurricane. The chief expressed gratitude for Schoenbrod's contributions, stating that his tenacity and expertise have been invaluable to the department's efforts.
