In a recent meeting, the Lycoming County Commissioners recognized several correctional officers for their exemplary response to a medical emergency that occurred at the Lycoming County Prison. The awards were presented following a private ceremony held at the prison, where the officers were unable to attend the public meeting due to their work schedules.

Commissioner Swope highlighted the commendable actions of Sergeant Monica Laird and correctional officers Zachary Baylor, Jonathan Ham, Matt Vogel, Evan Young, Michael Gross, Shane Basterisk, and Justin Whitmire. Each officer received a \"Job Well Done\" award, which included a pin and a letter of congratulations, acknowledging their professionalism and dedication during a critical incident on September 14, 2024.
