In a recent government meeting, the Rialto Planning Commission addressed several key topics, including the opening of a new downtown parking lot and the introduction of a new economic development manager.
Community Development Director College announced that the long-awaited downtown parking lot opened as of yesterday, a move aimed at alleviating parking difficulties faced by residents and visitors. This development comes in response to ongoing requests from local businesses for improved parking options.
The meeting also marked the introduction of Paul Guerrero as the new economic development manager. Guerrero, who brings over 20 years of experience in community development from the City of Garden Grove, expressed his enthusiasm for joining the Rialto team and contributing to local initiatives.
Additionally, the commission discussed the governor's new requirements, with some members noting issues with email communications regarding the details. The director confirmed that he had sent out an extensive discussion on the topic to all commissioners, although some members reported not receiving it, prompting suggestions to check spam folders.
The next Planning Commission meeting is scheduled for November 6, where further discussions on community development and local initiatives are expected.
