She reported that a kindergartner had been left on a bus for over two and a half hours on two consecutive days, raising serious safety concerns. Additionally, Holtzman noted that the bus had been consistently late, with delays of up to 30 minutes in both morning and afternoon routes, disrupting family schedules. Parents expressed frustration over the lack of communication from the school regarding these incidents, particularly when children were dropped off late without prior notification.

Holtzman also highlighted troubling behavior from bus drivers, including asking students to retrieve items from the street and using inappropriate language. She urged the school district to consider changing transportation providers to ensure the safety and well-being of the students.

In a separate discussion, a participant criticized the minimal funding allocated to libraries, suggesting that the proposed $500 annual budget for each library was insufficient to maintain current collections. The speaker emphasized the importance of adequately supporting educational resources, especially in light of recent budget discussions that could potentially redirect funds from essential services.
