In a recent government meeting, a local resident shared his ongoing challenges in maintaining a historic house that he has cherished since childhood. The property, originally deemed unsuitable for business office use, was relocated to its current site on 6th Street after negotiations with developers in the early 2000s.

The resident has invested significant effort into preserving the home's integrity, including rebuilding the windows to ensure they function properly. However, he acknowledged that some repairs were not completed to perfection, leading to broken ropes in several windows that now require attention.

In addition to structural improvements, the homeowner has faced persistent issues with wildlife, particularly woodpeckers and squirrels. He described how woodpeckers have created nesting holes in the house, which have subsequently been occupied by other birds. Squirrels have also caused damage by chewing through the siding, leading to new holes appearing on the property.
