The Toledo School Board announced the launch of a new educational hub in South Toledo, partnering with the Sophia Quintero Center and Escuela Smart Academy, a bilingual charter school aimed at supporting students in embracing their cultural heritage while learning English.

Board members and community leaders expressed pride in the establishment of Escuela Smart Academy, which is the first bilingual school in the region. The initiative is designed to provide comprehensive support to Spanish-speaking families, ensuring that communication is accessible across all school staff, including health services. The school also boasts the only youth Mariachi band in Ohio, further enriching the cultural experience for students.
