During a recent government meeting, Sandra Sabado, the event coordinator for the Ingalls Event Center, presented an exciting update on the upcoming \"Kids Fun Day,\" scheduled for Sunday, October 6th, at the Norco arenas. The event aims to engage participants of all ages with a variety of fun activities, including ring toss, potato races, and egg-and-spoon races, all designed to foster community spirit and friendly competition.
This year, the city has partnered with Rocky Hills Bridal to ensure the event runs smoothly, with activities starting at 8 AM. Each event will cost $5, or participants can opt for a special package of five events for $20, which includes an additional entry into barrel racing. Safety measures are in place, requiring participants to wear saddles and helmets, while stallions will not be permitted on-site.
In addition to the equestrian events, the Norco Lions Club will provide complimentary food, including hot dogs, beverages, and chips for all participants. For families with younger children, a mobile recreation van will be available to entertain them while their siblings compete.
Sabado expressed enthusiasm for the event, noting that it has garnered interest from officials in other cities, highlighting its potential to become a memorable community gathering. Participants aged 17 and younger are invited to join, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all involved. The event will also feature participation ribbons for all competitors, further promoting a sense of achievement and community involvement.
