New restaurants and attractions set to transform Lee's Summit

During a recent government meeting, officials highlighted several exciting developments in Lee's Summit, Missouri, aimed at enhancing the community's dining and recreational options.

Among the notable projects, a new fast-casual restaurant, Chicken Salad Chick, is set to open at the north end of West Pryor Street by the end of 2024. This southern-inspired eatery will offer a variety of scratch-made chicken salads, pimento cheese, and sandwiches, joining other local establishments such as 30 Hot Bar and Grill, Magic Noodle, and Nick the Greek.

Additionally, Summit Orchards will welcome Salad and Go, a drive-through restaurant specializing in salads and wraps, expected to open in spring 2025. This Arizona-based chain prides itself on sourcing fresh, natural ingredients for its menu. Also coming to Summit Orchards is Andy's Frozen Custard, which will offer a wide range of custard treats and is slated to open in the same spring timeframe.

Another exciting addition to the community is Craft Putt, an indoor mini-golf bar and restaurant that will feature two custom-designed 10-hole mini-golf courses. Set to open by the end of 2024 at Summit Fair, Craft Putt will provide a unique entertainment experience alongside food options like tacos, burgers, and local craft brews.

In addition to these developments, a council member expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming farmers market and event space currently in the design phase, which aims to further enhance the vibrancy of downtown Lee's Summit. The council member emphasized the importance of community involvement and shared a personal commitment to addressing attainable housing as a top priority moving forward.
