The meeting highlighted the extensive damage assessments conducted for both Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton. For Milton, officials reported a total of 12,000 damage assessments, revealing 439 properties completely destroyed, 1,922 with major damage, 5,058 classified as minor damage, and 4,460 affected properties. In comparison, Hurricane Helene resulted in 268 destroyed properties, 16,803 with major damage, and 6,467 with minor damage, alongside numerous other affected structures.
