The recent track season concluded with outstanding achievements from both the girls' and boys' teams, as highlighted in a celebratory meeting. The girls' team, comprising 82 athletes, finished strong, securing second place in both the Southeastern Conference (SEC) and regional championships. Meanwhile, the boys' team, with 107 athletes, continued their impressive legacy by clinching the SEC league title and the regional title for the 13th consecutive season. They also extended their dual meet winning streak to 72 and set five new school records in events including the 100-meter dash and the 4x100 relay.
The coaching staff played a pivotal role in this success, with Corbin Brown serving as the boys' head coach and Brian Bowes stepping in as interim head coach for the girls' team. The coaching team also included a diverse group of assistant coaches specializing in various track and field events.
During the meeting, athletes were recognized for their contributions, with several team members expressing gratitude and sharing their experiences.
