Students unite to lead bilingual pledge of allegiance

Students from East Grand Plains Elementary School showcased their leadership skills during a recent government meeting by leading the Pledge of Allegiance and the salute to the New Mexico flag. The student leadership team, comprised of fourth and fifth graders, conducted the pledges in both English and Spanish, highlighting the school's commitment to cultural inclusivity.

The event featured several student leaders, including Zee Cardamillo, Zilika Rodriguez, Abigail, Hector, Danabel Cruz, Sofia Rajil, Daniela Sierra, Gabriela, Linda Campazzano, Emma Jimenez, Adriana Segal, Aiden Hernandez, Jesus Gonzales, and Gloria Reyes. Their participation not only emphasized the importance of civic engagement among youth but also fostered a sense of community and respect for diverse cultures.

As the students concluded their presentation, they encouraged attendees to have a great day and reminded everyone to \"Keep it Wolfie,\" a nod to their school spirit. The event served as a reminder of the vital role that young leaders play in shaping a more inclusive and engaged society.
