During a recent government meeting, the board of directors celebrated the remarkable achievements of Mila Daillu, a 5th grader from Euclid Hills Elementary School, who excelled at the 3rd International Geography Championships in Vienna. Mila represented Pennsylvania in the elementary division, securing an impressive haul of 1 gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze medals, along with a champion plaque and a trophy for finishing 6th worldwide. Notably, she won 7 of the 8 medals awarded to Pennsylvania students across all age divisions. The board expressed interest in contracting Mila for demographic work within the district.
The meeting also featured reports from student representatives of local high schools. Sarah Relinson from Downingtown High School West highlighted the successful launch of the school year, including a college application boot camp for seniors and the introduction of a new \"lunch and learn\" program that allows students to meet with teachers during lunch. The school is gearing up for its homecoming event themed \"Ocean Oasis\" on September 21st.
