The development, proposed by Trinitas, aims to replace the aging Ray Apartments and is strategically located near the University of Oklahoma, surrounded by existing multifamily housing.

During a recent government meeting, developers presented their plans, highlighting the project's alignment with local zoning regulations and its potential to address the growing demand for student housing. The proposed building will feature podium-style parking on the first two levels, with residential units above, ensuring that the parking structure is not the primary visual focus of the development.

The site plan includes amenities such as a fitness center, outdoor courtyards, and a rooftop space offering views of the campus and stadium. The developers emphasized the project's walkability, noting its proximity to key campus locations, including the Sarkees Center and Campus Corner.

In response to community concerns regarding traffic and stormwater management, the developers voluntarily conducted traffic analyses and designed a drainage plan that incorporates best management practices. The project will utilize an existing alleyway for access, moving away from direct access off Boyd Street to alleviate potential congestion.

Commissioners expressed strong support for the project, recognizing its potential to enhance the area and provide much-needed housing for students.
