Developers unveil ambitious workforce housing project in Prescott

In a recent government meeting, Michael Lafferty of Lafferty Development presented plans for a new workforce housing project on his property located at 3910 East State Route 69. The proposed development will occupy the front five acres of the site, while the back 9.7 acres will serve as Lafferty's personal residence.

Lafferty highlighted the success of a previous project, which he no longer owns, and expressed confidence in the new initiative. He introduced Art Kanaghen from AAK Architecture, who has been involved in various projects in the Prescott area since 2018. Kanaghen shared his enthusiasm for the project and his long-standing connection to the region, emphasizing the positive impact it could have on the community.

The meeting included a review of two maps illustrating the proposed development and its proximity to neighboring properties. Lafferty and his team, including architects Gary Kelly, Kelly Weisz, and Craig Doorn, are set to provide further details and address any questions from the community. The project aims to contribute to the local housing market, addressing the growing need for workforce accommodations in the area.
