New bar and liquor license approved amid community concerns

In a recent government meeting, the Carson City Board approved two liquor license applications, signaling a step forward for local businesses. The first application, submitted by Bryson Keller for Mulligan's Indoor Golf Center, received unanimous approval for a dining room with a hard liquor license. The establishment is set to operate at 151 Clearview Drive, with Keller designated as the liquor manager.

The second application, presented by Leslie Reddick for L&N Party Rentals LLC, aims to establish a tavern/bar at 1770 Dorey Way. Reddick confirmed that the business plans to open in October, pending final construction and inspections. The board clarified that the sheriff's office report focused on the applicant rather than the location, ensuring no issues with the approval process.

During the discussion, concerns were raised about underage drinking at events hosted by the new venue. Reddick assured attendees that strict measures would be in place to prevent minors from consuming alcohol, emphasizing that parents allowing such behavior at public venues would face legal consequences.
