Referencing a recent article about a nearby development, Sharp clarified that many of the new housing projects are inaccurately labeled as being in Anna when they are actually located in the extraterritorial jurisdiction of Van Alstyne. She expressed frustration over the rising prices of land, noting that a one-acre lot in the area is currently listed for $309,000, a stark contrast to previous sales in her neighborhood.

Sharp's comments reflect a growing concern among residents about the direction of development in Anna, as they seek to maintain the character of their community while accommodating growth.
