Officer honored for heroic life-saving CPR efforts

The Pinker Grove Police Department has honored Officer Ryan Sears with a Life Saving Award for his heroic actions during a medical emergency on August 28, 2024. Responding to a call about a woman struggling to breathe, Officer Sears arrived at the scene to find her unresponsive and gasping for air.

Demonstrating quick thinking and decisive action, Officer Sears immediately began performing CPR, successfully restoring the woman's pulse before the arrival of the Pinker Grove Fire Department. His prompt response was crucial in preventing a potentially tragic outcome, highlighting the importance of first aid in emergency situations.

In recognition of his outstanding efforts, Officer Sears was presented with the award during a recent village meeting, where he was also given a commemorative pin to wear on his uniform. The Pinker Grove community and police department expressed their deep appreciation for his dedication and service.
