In a heartwarming initiative, a student from New Mount Hill has successfully launched a fundraising project to support a care closet for fellow students. Inspired by a desire to make a difference, the student, Corbin, began by crafting bracelets, which quickly evolved into a larger fundraising effort.

Corbin identified essential supplies needed for children at the school and realized that selling just bracelets would not suffice to meet the financial goals. With the upcoming school sneak peek event as a backdrop, he sought permission from Principal Miss Burnett to set up a booth where he could sell bracelets, lemonade, and donuts to raise funds and awareness for the care closet.

With the principal's approval, Corbin mobilized his resources, creating around 100 bracelets and collaborating with a local business for donut donations. He received support from friends who helped design promotional signs, and Miss Burnett ensured they had a designated space for their booth.

The event proved to be a success, raising $236, which allowed Corbin to purchase supplies for the care closet. With assistance from his mother, he secured the best prices for the items needed, marking the first significant step in stocking the care closet.
